Mayor of Melikgazi, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mustafa Palancıoğlu, stated that comprehensive works are nearing completion on 17 streets in İldem Cumhuriyet Neighbourhood to provide comfort and convenience in transportation.

Melikgazi Municipality, which has been carrying out asphalt renewal and sidewalk works at various points in the district, is making intensive efforts to ensure the comfort of both pedestrians and drivers on 17 separate streets in İldem. Mayor of Melikgazi, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mustafa Palancıoğlu, who inspected the works on site with İldem Cumhuriyet Neighbourhood Head Emine Kurhan, stated, 'We are gradually approaching the end of our İldem 1st Phase project, which we initiated before the elections. We are making sidewalk, pavement, asphalt, and landscaping on a total of 17 streets. There were often very high and worn-out sidewalks here. Especially due to the trees, the sidewalks had been damaged because of their roots. We are finishing these areas. Asphalt and sidewalks are completed here. After laying the asphalt, only the road markings remain. When we finish that, the work on this street will be completed. The works we have done on a total of 17 streets will continue with our 2nd Phase works.' 

Expressing gratitude for Mayor Palancıoğlu's services, Emine Kurhan, the Head of İldem Cumhuriyet Neighbourhood, said, "Sidewalks and growing trees were our biggest concern. This has been a very good initiative. May Allah grant strength and continuation.
