FIRE TRAINING PROVIDED FOR STAFF AT MELIKGAZI MUNICIPALITY

Melikgazi Municipality took an important step in occupational health and safety by organizing fire, fire prevention, and fire response training for its staff as part of the 'Occupational Health and Safety Training Program. The training program held at the Melikgazi Municipality Recycling Training Facility was provided by expert trainers from the Metropolitan Municipality Fire Department.
The training program started with theoretical lessons. These sessions covered topics such as fire-fighting techniques, fire safety measures, and what to do in case of a fire in a comprehensive manner. After the theoretical training, the staff had the opportunity to apply what they learned in practice during a fire drill conducted outside the building.
"The safety of our residents is our priority."
Emphasizing the importance of training, Melikgazi Mayor Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mustafa Palancıoğlu said, 'It is extremely important for us to create a more aware society in the face of fires and natural disasters and to provide training on how to act in case of any issues. With this training, our staff learned what to do as quickly as possible in the event of a fire. Being able to respond to a fire with the right equipment is crucial for saving lives," he said.
