Mayor of Melikgazi Municipality  Assoc. Dr. Mustafa Palancıoğlu organized the Melikgazi Urban Transformation Assessment Meeting and met with contractors, architects, and engineers.

Informing the participants about the ongoing urban transformation efforts and upcoming projects, Mayor Palancıoğlu also provided detailed information to contractor firms about the Altınoluk Bahçelievler Horizontal Architecture Housing Project.

Emphasizing the need for cities to have an architectural identity and the importance of projects in this direction, Mayor Palancıoğlu said, "As Melikgazi Municipality, we are conducting a smooth urban transformation process. All of our colleagues have contributed to this. We strive to give Melikgazi its most unique identity by saying that cities should have an identity. So far, we have completed 80 blocks, consisting of 3872 apartments, in Küçükali, Kazım Karabekir, and Anbar. Currently, there are 65 blocks and 2517 apartments under construction. We have ongoing projects as much as the ones we have completed. Another project we value is the Altınoluk Neighbourhood Bahçelievler project. We will have a tender in March. Hopefully, in the next 5 years, we need to make Melikgazi safer, starting with the old and risky buildings. Such works should be done in the city center. Battalgazi 1st Stage has been completed, and the 2nd Stage is ongoing. I hope that most of this will be completed by this summer. We will tender for the 2nd Stage for the Anbar 2nd Stage with 7 blocks. The 1st Stage in Yıldırım Beyazıt Neighbourhood is about to be completed. We will tender for the 2nd Stage. Our 2nd Stage project consisting of 20 blocks in Kazım Karabekir Neighbourhood is ongoing. It becomes a wonderful place with its green areas. We have an urban transformation project for 3 blocks and 160 apartments in Çorakçılar Neighbourhood. We will tender for this soon. We are open to all suggestions from you. Coordinated work would be extremely beneficial for our municipality. Your support is important for us to beautify our city and Melikgazi. Cities should have an architectural identity. The Altınoluk Bahçelievler Housing Project is one of the most important projects for Melikgazi, which will set an example for Kayseri. We will tender in March. It will be a very nice place with its school, park, social facilities, and easy transportation. There will also be a social facility in the project, which includes 121 houses.
