29 January 2024

The 'Adorable Friends Ambulance' of Melikgazi Municipality, rushing to the aid of helpless and injured stray animals, provides service seven days a week with a team consisting of 2 veterinarians and 7 personnel.

"We Instantly Reach Out to Street Animals in Need Throughout Every Corner of Melikgazi"

"Stating that the cute companions on the streets are not alone and that Melikgazi Municipality provides all kinds of support, Melikgazi Mayor Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mustafa Palancıoğlu said, 'For abandoned and needy animals that are injured or ill for various reasons, our municipality continues to provide ambulance services. Our two specially designed ambulances operate continuously with trained personnel between 08:00 and 23:00 seven days a week. Our Adorable Friends Ambulance intervenes immediately for injured animals such as cats, dogs, and birds found on the streets. Throughout the day, our municipality's communication centre receives many requests regarding sick or injured animals and stray animals in distress on the streets. Upon receiving these requests, our Adorable Friends Ambulance is immediately deployed to intervene with street animals immediately. This ensures that injured animals are transported to the place of treatment as quickly as possible. With our fully equipped ambulance and a team of two veterinarians and seven personnel, we leave no injured or ill animals in Melikgazi. Citizens can report injured and sick stray animals they see in the vicinity by calling 252 1333 or through our WhatsApp hotline at 0530 253 91 91. The officials receiving the reports at our communication centre or WhatsApp hotline quickly reach the specified addresses with a private ambulance. Subsequently, depending on the species, the injured animals receive initial intervention on-site and are then taken to clinic centres located in various parts of the city to ensure their recovery.'"
