Continuing its in-house training programs, Melikgazi Municipality provided information to its staff on geographic information systems related to smart cities, e-services, and digital transformation, thanks to the systems developed internally. Additionally, they introduced innovations in the field.

Melikgazi Municipality continues its in-house training programs to inform and raise awareness among its staff," stated Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mustafa Palancıoğlu, the Mayor. "We shared the latest developments in our geographic information systems project, developed in collaboration with the R&D and Planning Project Directorate of Melikgazi Municipality, with our institution's administrators and personnel. With our pioneering 3D GIS application developed in the project, we can visualize thousands of geographic objects such as buildings, park inventories, electric poles, trees, and zero waste points that make up the district inventory in 3D. We contribute to the more accurate formation of zoning plans in our district through digital zoning plans. Some innovations such as 3D GIS, Digital Zoning Plan, MIS - GIS Integration (Parcel and Data Transfer), ARSIV - GIS Integration (location and parcel-based data discovery) were introduced to the staff.

With this system, the e-service technology, through which our citizens can apply from their locations, is continuously expanding; thus, we can prevent waste of time, fuel, and money through digital means. With our trained and expert team, we develop our own Geographic Information Systems applications and enhance our service quality to citizens through location-related data and analyses with decision support mechanisms.
