Melikgazi Municipality, aiming not only to meet the needs of its citizens but also to enhance their lives from a social and psychological perspective, has added 270 new parks and 3 million square meters of green space to the district in the last 5 years.

Since 2019, Melikgazi Municipality has been both creating new parks and renovating the existing ones, contributing to the increase in the number of green spaces in the district. The addition of new green areas not only addresses the public's needs for entertainment, relaxation, and sports but also contributes to the beautification of the district.

Melikgazi Municipality, expressed by the Mayor, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mustafa Palancıoğlu, emphasizes their commitment to projects benefiting people of all ages and segments. He stated, "As Melikgazi Municipality, our job and strength lie in service. Beyond our routine municipal services, we are enhancing our district with innovative projects, providing services to our citizens in various areas such as education, culture, sports, and social activities. One of the many projects we have implemented in Melikgazi is the establishment of new parks and the revitalization of existing ones. In our new parks, cultural activities and sports breathe life into social activities, while our prestigious parks further beautify the face of Melikgazi. We have constructed themed, modern playground-equipped parks in all neighbourhoods, appealing to everyone from seven to seventy. The play areas contribute to the physical and mental development of our children. In neighbourhoods without parks, we have built new parks so that our children can play to their heart's content.

Mayor Palancıoğlu, stating that they have increased the number of parks where families can stroll, breathe fresh air, reunite with their spouses, and engage in sports activities, and where children can play and have enjoyable time over the past five years, said, "We have realized our goal of enhancing Melikgazi's natural riches by increasing green spaces. In addition to all the well-known features, parks and green spaces also meet a significant social need. Since taking office in 2019 with this awareness, Melikgazi Municipality has completed the construction of 270 parks and added 3 million square meters of green space. We will continue to mobilize all our resources for a more vibrant, modern, and green Melikgazi.
