Melikgazi Municipality Mayor Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mustafa Palancıoğlu emphasized that they have intensified inspections to ensure citizens can shop in a peaceful and secure environment ahead of Eid al-Adha. He stated, 'We have increased our inspections especially at establishments selling food products across all areas of Melikgazi. Our municipal police teams will continue their inspections before Eid al-Adha, considering various components such as expiry dates of products, hygiene conditions of food production facilities, compliance with weight and price labels, and many others.' We are continuing all our efforts to ensure that our citizens have a peaceful and healthy holiday. We will not tolerate any businesses attempting to exploit Eid al-Adha by increasing prices and selling products at exorbitant rates. We urge our fellow citizens to report any negative situations they encounter while shopping to our municipal police teams or through our call centre.

Prior to the upcoming Eid al-Adha, municipal police teams are inspecting various products, particularly sugar, sweets, and chocolate, to ensure that there is no discrepancy between the label and the price at the cash register, thus preventing any potential inconvenience for citizens.
