As part of the “Breathe in the Future” campaign launched throughout Turkey, Melikgazi Municipality, which planted trees, brought together 1111 plane trees with soil on the way to the Küçükbürüngüz and Turan Neighbourhoods.

    Melikgazi Municipality, which declared last year as the year of afforestation and green environment for Melikgazi district, continues its tree planting activities.

   Emphasizing that they planted trees, not seedlings, Mayor of Melikgazi Dr.Mustafa Palancioglu said, “We are working to serve our citizens, we want our district to become green quickly. Changes with the trees we planted in our Melikgazi.

Melikgazi is a residential area suitable for greening with its natural vegetation and land structure.  By declaiming the year of 2020 afforestation, we planted 70 thousand trees in a year and brought large trees aged 15-50 to the district. Thus, Melikgazi was greened in a short time and saving on time. We have planted 1111 trees in our Turan and Bürüngüz neighbourhoods today by determining the right type of tree in the right place within a certain program and plan. We will make our district a greener Melikgazi. Our afforestation activities will continue this year." said.
