The Mayor of Melikgazi is Dr. Mustafa Palancioglu said that municipal teams are pruning trees in parks, streets and alleys to make plants grow healthier and more regularly.

          Noting that pruned trees provide better development, the President Dr. Palancioglu,"With the pruning work done, the root and trunk thickness of the trees is better developed, while the life of the tree is longer and the tree regenerates itself. Pruning work done in winter, called the rest period of trees, allows plants to regrow and sprout more healthily and regularly. We also cut down the drying branches of trees that are drying out and pose a danger, allowing them to prepare for the summer. We also transform the branches we have pruned and bring them back to nature. Our teams mix the compost obtained from pruned branches into the soil they use for planting grass, flowers, seedlings and trees. In other words, we use natural fertilizers with a sustainable environmental understanding." said.
