Participants of the course held at Necip Fazıl Kısakürek and Fedakar Gülderen Social Facilities by Melikgazi Municipality not only gain handcraft skills but also enjoy fun times and build new friendships. Women use various materials such as wire, yarn, hoops, fishing line, wood, waste paper, and beads in the handicrafts course, creating a wide range of crafts from basket weaving to knitting, from pearl bags to copper reliefs, and utilizing punch needle techniques. Many everyday items crafted by these women become ready for use, showcasing their skills in practical applications.

Melikgazi Mayor Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mustafa Palancıoğlu emphasized the contribution of the courses in developing participants' skills and enabling them to acquire a profession. He stated, "In Melikgazi, we offer a variety of courses catering to people of all ages, from children to adults. Participants in our MELMEK courses can enhance their handcraft skills and also gain professional qualifications.
