Melikgazi Mayor Associate Professor Dr. Mustafa Palancıoğlu announced that the European-style project “Çarşı Melikgazi,” which is unique in Türkiye and has examples only abroad, is nearing completion. He stated that he recently inspected the project and that its opening will take place soon.

Çarşı Melikgazi, which will be a popular destination for visitors from outside Kayseri and will provide services seven days a week, will feature fruit and vegetable stalls, seafood, a butcher, a variety of pastries, organic and local products, a children's play area, and a PTT office. Additionally, the restaurant named "Sofra Melikgazi" will serve regional delicacies from Kayseri.

Mayor Palancıoğlu, who stated that the construction of this unprecedented project in Türkiye is complete and its opening will take place soon, continued his remarks after inspecting the project on-site, saying:

“We conceived, designed, dreamed, tendered, and brought to life the Çarşı Melikgazi project. We have now reached the final stages of this project. It has been two years since we started the Çarşı Melikgazi project. We laid the foundations two years ago, and now, two years later, we are at the stage where we are starting the landscaping and preparing for operation.”

I would like to thank all my colleagues, our contracting firm, and everyone who contributed to this project. The Çarşı Melikgazi project, which will be the first of its kind in Türkiye with its European style, will, Allah willing, bring colour to Kayseri and Melikgazi when it opens this summer. It will serve as an example to all municipalities, including those outside Kayseri. Many municipalities will likely want to introduce a similar project in their own cities. I wish it success and hope that God grants us the opportunity to open it soon.

Mayor Palancıoğlu, expressing his excitement for the opening of this new symbol of Kayseri, stated that he would continue his visionary work, which will serve as an example for Türkiye, with unwavering commitment.
