Mayor of Melikgazi, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mustafa Palancıoğlu, inspected on-site the construction works of the alternative connection road, which is 3 kilometres long and 15 meters wide, linking Köşk Mahallesi Aşık Veysel Boulevard to Talas Boulevard.

Melikgazi Mayor Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mustafa Palancıoğlu expressed their efforts to provide comfortable and convenient transportation to the citizens in Melikgazi. He stated, 'We inspected the road works in the area where Erciyes University is located on the continuation of Talas Boulevard on the right side and the military area on the left side. This road continues to the area where Teknopark and Eşref Bitlis Boulevard are located. Therefore, this is one of the axes that will relieve the Kartal Intersection. Citizens coming from this axis will have the opportunity to directly access the back exit of Erciyes University, Teknopark, as well as Hulusi Akar Boulevard from Aşiyan Boulevard, and to reach Talas and Sivas Street. Therefore, this is our 15-meter road that we have been working on diligently for two years within the framework of the protocol we have made with the military. It will include a bike path, pedestrian path, and green area. I hope that it will be opened to the public this summer and will serve our citizens in the best possible way. I thank all those who contributed to this effort. After the Metropolitan Municipality completes both the Talas Intersection and the Teknopark Intersection, we will hopefully inaugurate them. Mayor Palancıoğlu stated that they have implemented various projects to introduce alternative roads to the district of Kayseri due to the increase in the number of vehicles and traffic. He emphasized that they will continue their efforts without slowing down.
