Melikgazi Municipality is carrying out a major intersection work connecting Olgunlar Street to Uzay Street in Yıldırım Beyazıt District.

Melikgazi Municipality examined the large-scale intersection work that will connect Sivas Street and Mustafa Şimşek Street to Hulusi Akar Boulevard. President Assoc. Dr. Mustafa Palancıoğlu stated that when the works are completed, the traffic load of the city will decrease and transportation will be easier.

“We are carrying out 18 applications in an area of ​​20 million square meters.”

Stating that they are the municipality that carries out the most zoning applications in Turkey, Mayor Palancıoğlu stated that the intersection work was the result of long efforts and said the following: :

“We are carrying out intersection and road work in Yıldırım Beyazıt Neighborhood. In fact, the junction and the road seem to be a simple work; But actually building roads and intersections are very difficult tasks. There were court cases and expropriation in the area where Olgunlar Street and Uzay Street are located in Yıldırım Beyazıt, which has been going on for more than six years. There was work to demolish the old buildings here. All the trials have been concluded and we are now able to pave the way. First of all, there are infrastructure deficiencies such as electricity, water, natural gas, sewerage and fiber cable. After the infrastructure works are completed, our superstructure works, namely asphalt preparation, pavements, curbs, begin and finally asphalt is made. This is one of the most important axes in our Yıldırım Beyazıt District, which will provide the connection between Mustafa Şimşek Street, Sivas Street and Hulusi Akar Boulevard. One of the most important works we do. We are the municipality that makes the most zoning applications in Turkey, 18 applications. We carry out 18 applications in an area of ​​20 million square meters. In this way, roads, parks and other public areas are transferred to our municipality and we ensure that the neighborhoods are revitalized in the best possible way.
