Melikgazi Municipality Mayor Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mustafa Palancıoğlu stated that due to the deadline for the Real Estate and Environmental Cleaning Taxes being May 31st, there was congestion at the counters. In order to enable citizens to make their payments comfortably, he announced that the counters at the Melikgazi Main Service Building would be open from 08:30 to 19:00, with a break for lunch, and said the following:

We are at the treasury of Melikgazi Municipality. We are paying both our own real estate tax and my mother's. As you know, the end of this month is the deadline for the Real Estate and Environmental Cleaning Taxes. Therefore, we wanted to remind our citizens so that they do not forget, do not incur penalties, and do not pay interest. While we are here, we are also paying our taxes. "I extend my thanks to all citizens who have paid their taxes. May Allah grant you plentiful and blessed earnings. With the taxes we receive, we strive to provide you with the best services possible. May it be beneficial, by the will of Allah," said Palancıoğlu. 

Palancıoğlu also mentioned that citizens could pay their first instalment of Real Estate and Environmental Tax either in cash or by credit card at Melikgazi Municipality counters, as well as through the website https://ebelediye.melikgazi.bel.tr. He thanked everyone who fulfilled their civic duty by paying their taxes.
