Melikgazi Municipality has begun preparing a project to develop Kırlangıç Valley, one of the city’s most important valleys, into a tourist attraction due to its natural beauty.

Melikgazi Mayor Assoc. Dr. Mustafa Palancıoğlu stated that they have initiated projects to implement various functions in the valley, which is captivating due to its nature and the waters flowing from Erciyes. He said, "We are working on a project that will bring colour to Melikgazi and Kayseri. I conducted a review of the area and shared the following:

“ During our five-year term from 2024 to 2029, we will bring many projects to Melikgazi and Kayseri. This includes various stages such as project design and implementation. We conducted an inspection of Kırlangıç Valley with the heads of Hisarcık and Kıranardı neighbourhoods and our team. With its name, location, and character, it is perhaps one of the most important valleys in Kayseri.

We hope to develop this beautiful valley for our citizens and tourism through various efforts. This is a natural valley formed by waters from Erciyes. Every spring, irrigation water for the Hisarcık and Kıranardı regions flows through here. There are already residents who enjoy walking, camping, and picnicking in the valley. Therefore, we have initiated a project to implement various functions in this area. Our project will add colour and uniqueness to Melikgazi, Kayseri, and the region. We hope the Kırlangıç Valley project will be beneficial. ”

Mayor Palancıoğlu, who has started preparations for the Kırlangıç Valley project, emphasized that it will promote social interaction, add vibrancy to the city, and host both local and international tourists. He stated that they are working with great dedication to quickly implement diverse projects to enhance the prosperity of Melikgazi.
