He stated, "In Melikgazi, we offer various courses catering to different hobbies for every age group. Participants in our MELMEK courses can enhance their manual skills and become professionals.
In this context, we have opened courses in our social facilities for the transfer of the art of 'Maraş Embroidery,' which has been dazzling with its aesthetics and craftsmanship since the Ottoman period, to future generations. The enthusiastic participation and interest of our participants have pleased us. Our well-equipped instructors are leading our sisters to not only enhance their skills in handicrafts but also contribute to their family economy. In the field of Maraş Embroidery handicrafts, employment opportunities are available in businesses producing souvenir items, dowry items, hand embroidery, and machine embroidery. Our courses are currently ongoing. We invite all participants who want to make the most of their time and aspire to have a profession to our social facilities.
The participants who contribute to the family economy by gaining manual skills through MELMEK courses thanked Melikgazi Mayor Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mustafa Palancıoğlu for providing them with such an opportunity and invited everyone interested to join the Maraş Embroidery Course.
