Melikgazi Municipality has laid the foundation of the Keriman Bakercioglu-Erkan Primary School with 20 classrooms, which it will start, construction with a charitable cooperation in the Yıldırım Beyazıt  Neighborhood.

     AK Party Local Administrations Vice Chairman Mehmet Özhaseki, Mayor of Talas Mustafa Yalçın, Provincial Director of National Education Ahmet Saim Durgun , Provincial Chairman of the MHP Adnan İncetoprak, AK Party Melikgazi District Head of Gökhan Ülke and council members participated in the ground-breaking program. 

     Mayor of Melikgazi Dr. Mustafa Palancioglu, who reminded Yıldırım Beyazıt Neighbourhood that good works have been done said, “We recently renovated our street along the canal connecting Sivas Street, which we named Dr. Sami Ipek, to Hulusi Akar Boulevard. We have destroyed 64 slums here by agreement. We have made a good road for our citizens in three lanes. We are making a big 18 application for Yıldırım Beyazıt. Currently, we are the 18th largest municipality in Turkey.

We are doing 18th in 107 regions in an area of about 10 million square meters. In this way, public areas, schools, health centres, January where mosques will be built, as well as our roads that are a dead end street, are completely transferred to the public. Therefore, Yıldırım Beyazıt will become much more beautiful.  At the same time, we have also agreed with 105 of our citizens, we will carry out an urban transformation study of six blocks, 233 apartments.  I would like to thank my teammates. As municipalities, we are working intensively and trying to meet the needs such as mosques, schools, health centres. Today we are laying the foundation of this beautiful school with 20 classrooms. We are doing exactly 14 schools so far. I wish it to be completed without accidents and I wish it to be better." said.
