Melikgazi Municipality, continuing demolition work for urban transformation consisting of 20 blocks, has successfully demolished a total of 151 shanties in Kazım Karabekir Neighbourhood.

Reminding that urban transformation work will be carried out in an area of approximately 100,000 square meters, Mayor of Melikgazi Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mustafa Palancıoğlu stated, 'We are gradually cleaning and finalizing agreements for Kazım Karabekir. We have made significant progress in urban transformation in this region. Our urban transformation projects, which we initiated in Battalgazi, Anbar, Kazım Karabekir, and Yıldırım Beyazıt neighbourhoods, continue with Çorakçılar neighbourhood. We support these urban transformation efforts with social facilities, parks, green spaces, new roads, schools, and family health centres. By adding new, refined areas to our developing and changing district, we are working to provide our citizens with a better living environment. In Kazım Karabekir Neighbourhood, we have reached agreements with the majority of our citizens. "We are grateful that we are carrying out these projects without any disputes or noise, receiving blessings. Here, we had reached agreements with 426 out of 626 beneficiaries. We have demolished 151 out of 206 structures. In this area, there will be an urban transformation project consisting of approximately 800 apartments in 20 blocks, with a large green area and social facilities. I wish it to be auspicious," he said.
